Author and Illustrator Tomi Ungerer, subject of the film Far Out Isn’t Far Enough, is also the subject of an exhibit at The Drawing Center in NYC and a book, All In One. He did not do just children’s books such as Tortoni Tremolo, the Cursed Musician, but political satire and advertising art. These days we need more minds like his. Born in 1931 in France, he has done over 140 books for both children and adults. In his adult books has targeted animal cruelty, the Vietnam War, and written about eroticism (Wikipedia).
This is one of my favorite kids’ books of his, which I found at the library.
